Two Kindersley baseball teams are still in the running for the Fertile Valley Baseball League (FVBL) semi-finals after great seasons.
The Kindersley Raiders team had yet another stellar regular season with nine wins and only two losses, and are currently awaiting their new opponents in the semi-finals. Last season the Raiders took the FVBL Finals over the newly-christened Kindersley Stallions during a breath-taking championship game. The Raiders look to defend their title again this year.
Just last night, the Kindersley Stallions (with a regular season record of 8-3) faced a do or die game against the first-year Outlook River Hawks (5-6).
The game was the last in a wildcard playoff series where both teams struggled to gain their edge. In round one, the Stallions gained the lead with a resounding 5-1 game at Berard Field. However, the River Hawks played tit for tat plus a little more on their playing field in the following game, sending the Stallions home with an 11-2 game, Outlook’s favor.
Awaiting the victors are the FVBL Pennant winners, the Kindersley Raiders (9-2). Check out Kindersley Social online for the latest updates on the FVBL semi-finals.
