Kindersley Klippers Sportsman Dinner

Last night, attendees of the Kindersley Klippers Sportsman Dinner were able to enjoy a catered meal with the Stanley Cup champions Bryan Trottier and Marty McSorley.

The fundraising event took place at the Kindersley Curling Rink and began at 5:30 pm. The dinner, catered by “Eat Your Heart Out” catering, was served at 6:30 pm. Tickets cost $80 per person, or $600 for a table of eight. Head coach Geoff Grimwood was pleased with the turn-out, appreciative of those who came out to “share their time and money.”

“It was fantastic, the guest speakers were really phenomenal,” said Grimwood. Trottier and McSorley shared stories from their careers and past experiences in NHL. They spoke about the importance of having a junior hockey league in rural Saskatchewan and stressed the value of community support.

Memorabilia, gift cards, and jerseys were auctioned off during the event to raise funds for the Klippers.

The guest speakers were very gracious with the members of the audience. Afterwards, the speakers met with interested individuals and took a photo with the Klippers.
