Klippers Annual Awards Night

In order to pass the time before playoffs, the Klippers hosted their annual awards night banquet at the Kindersley Elks Hall on Saturday.

Klippers President Brett Sautner, Coach/General Manager Geoff Grimwood, Assistant Coach Larry Wintoneak, and Trainer Darien Lynch each took their turn expressing their appreciation for volunteers and praise for the team as a whole.

That night three players were given special recognition with the Iron Horse Three Stars Award: Carson Pickett with the first while Justen Close & Nick Trenciansky tied for second. Other team members were also given awards during the evening, including:

  • SAM BINFET  – Plus/Minus Award  
  • KYLE BOSCH – Scholastic Award
  • JUSTEN CLOSE  – Rookie Of The Year
  • KYLE DONALDSON  – Community Involvement Award
  • JOSH FLETCHER  – Mr. Hustle Award
  • CODY HODGSON & COLE PLOTNIKOFF  – Coaches Award
  • TATE PAGE  – Hitter Of The Year
  • CARSON PICKETT – MVP Award
  • CLIVE ROZDEBA – Defensive Player Of The Year
  • BRODY RYBERG – Most Improved  
  • KYLE SARGENT & CAMERON SHORROCK – Most Dedicated
  • BRANDEN WAGNER – Top Scorer

The awards were well deserved, the team has played hard this year; we look forward to watching what they can do in the upcoming playoffs!
