In order to pass the time before playoffs, the Klippers hosted their annual awards night banquet at the Kindersley Elks Hall on Saturday.
Klippers President Brett Sautner, Coach/General Manager Geoff Grimwood, Assistant Coach Larry Wintoneak, and Trainer Darien Lynch each took their turn expressing their appreciation for volunteers and praise for the team as a whole.
That night three players were given special recognition with the Iron Horse Three Stars Award: Carson Pickett with the first while Justen Close & Nick Trenciansky tied for second. Other team members were also given awards during the evening, including:
- SAM BINFET – Plus/Minus Award
- KYLE BOSCH – Scholastic Award
- JUSTEN CLOSE – Rookie Of The Year
- KYLE DONALDSON – Community Involvement Award
- JOSH FLETCHER – Mr. Hustle Award
- CODY HODGSON & COLE PLOTNIKOFF – Coaches Award
- TATE PAGE – Hitter Of The Year
- CARSON PICKETT – MVP Award
- CLIVE ROZDEBA – Defensive Player Of The Year
- BRODY RYBERG – Most Improved
- KYLE SARGENT & CAMERON SHORROCK – Most Dedicated
- BRANDEN WAGNER – Top Scorer
The awards were well deserved, the team has played hard this year; we look forward to watching what they can do in the upcoming playoffs!
