Tanya Tagaq is quickly becoming the face of the next generation of Canadian classical music. Her collaborations with composers, string quartets, and orchestras are gaining international recognition.
The Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra brings Tanya Tagaq to perform composer Derek Charke’s Cercle Du Nord III – newly orchestrated just for this performance!
The concert features the music of composers from above the 49th Parallel – including Grieg, Metis composer Andrew Balfour, and Odawa First Nation Composer Barbara Croall (joining the SSO at the performance).
