New Bylaw (02-19)
The Town of Kindersley has announced a new Bylaw (02-19), known as “The Public Spitting, Urination, and Defecation Bylaw”.
Such actions constitute a health risk and are a nuisance to a neighbourhood when done in any public place, whether privately or publicly owned.
According to the Town, any officer, whether Police Officer, Municipal Enforcement Officer, or any other person authorized by the Council of the Town of Kindersley is designated to enforce this Bylaw.
Penalties for such occurrences can become expensive, especailly if the actions are recurring.
If the payment is made within 10 calendar days of the incident, first time offenders can expect a fine of $100.00. Second time offenders will face $250.00 and third $500.00. If the payment is made after 10 calendar days the fine is doubled.
