Three people have drowned in the past five years at provincial parks and recreation sites
A new water safety education program is coming to Saskatchewan’s provincial lakes this summer. The Lifesaving Society’s Saskatchewan branch teamed up with the provincial government to deliver the lessons.
Shelby Rushton, CEO of the local Lifesaving Society, said it was a response to the drowning deaths reported at lakes. Three people have drowned in the past five years at provincial parks and recreation sites. Most recently, a 23-year-old man drowned at Katepwa Lake on Tuesday.
