O'Day on short list for new Riders' GM

Interim Saskatchewan Roughriders general manager Jeremy O’Day is on the short list for the fulltime role, president Craig Reynolds said on Thursday.

O’Day took over interim duties in late August after Brendan Taman was fired by the organization after six seasons in Saskatchewan. Head coach Corey Chamblin was also let go after a 0-9 start to the season and was replaced by Bob Dyce on an interim basis. The head coaching role will also need to be filled by the Riders this offseason.

Reynolds said there is no timeline for the new GM hire.

The Roughriders finished 3-15 on the season for last place in the CFL.
