The role of Acting Mayor has been as big a learning curve as it has been an honor.
I have enjoyed my time as a councilor as well as the most recent year as Acting Mayor. As my tenure as Acting Mayor comes to a close, I want to thank some folks who helped make it as pleasurable and easy as possible.
Special thanks to Council for their encouragement and support to step moving from Councilor to Acting Mayor earlier this year. Your commitment to the Town over the past 4 years has not gone unnoticed and I want to say thanks for your perseverance over that time.
Deputy Mayor Sackville for your time helping fulfill the role of Mayor this past year when I was unable to do so. Your dedication to the Town has been admirable.
To the staff at the Town, thanks for doing the things you do that make us look good!
To Nadine and Monica at the Town office, thanks you for your support and assistance in preparing for council meetings and such. You really made my life easy while prepping for the meetings and other duties as Acting Mayor.
Wayne, thank you for your general editing and feedback when preparing material going out. Your guidance has been appreciated throughout my time on council.
Bernie, your knowledge and contacts are a huge benefit to the Town. Without your patience and support, I’m not so sure I would have been able to step up and take on the role as Acting Mayor. Thank you!
To my wife, Jamie and two boys, Kiptin and Kohen. Thank you for allowing me the time to try my best in my role as Acting Mayor. There have been many evenings away from the family in the past year and it was always a treat to come home to a welcoming family.
