Saskatchewan has reached a four-year deal with nurses, according to information released Thursday night.
“The parties were able to reach an agreement,” Richard Hornung, a special mediator who was brought in to broker a deal between the Saskatchewan Union of Nurses and SAHO, the organization that represents the government’s health care providers.” I don’t recall ever having parties move so far so quickly on fundamental issues.”
According to the province, the deal is effective April 1, 2014 to March 31, 2018.
Details will not be released until after a ratification process.
