Win in Saskatoon clinches playoff spot for Rush
The Saskatchewan Rush lacrosse team has clinched a playoff spot after downing the Toronto Rock 13-8 on Saturday in Saskatoon.
Mark Matthews had two goals and four assists and Robert Church had a goal and five helpers in the National Lacrosse League game.
Dan Taylor, Ben McIntosh and Zack Greer each added a pair of goals for the Rush (9-3) while Curtis Knight, Jeff Cornwall, Ryan Dilks and Jeremy Thompson added the others.
Rob Hellyer led the Rock (3-9) with two goals and three assists.
Turner Evans, Stephan Lablanc and Josh Sanderson had two goals apiece to round out the offence.
