Kindersley RCMP Remind Motorists to Slow Down in School Zones
The school year is starting soon and students will be once again be walking in the school zones.
Kindersley RCMP would like to remind motorists to be extra careful while going through a school zone.
Remember, since it will the beginning of the school year, not all students will be aware of the traffic rules.
Please remember to slow down and be aware of the students.
Fines for speeding in a school zone are higher than a regular speeding ticket. If a motorist is going 10 km/h over the speed limit in a school zone, the fine is $270. If a driver goes 10 km/h over the speed limit elsewhere (with the exception of construction zones) the fine would be $170.
