Smile Cookies Raise Over $4000 for Kindersley Aquatic Centre

The Smile Cookie Proceeds Will Go Towards Water Safety Equipment

Kindersley locals were able to support their community last week with a sweet smile, so to speak.

The Annual Smile Cookie program at Tim Horton’s ran from September 16-22nd where a full $1 from each smile cookie sold from the Kindersley location was donated to the Kindersley Aquatic Centre.

Mayor Rod Perkins and town councillors joined in the fun to decorate the cookies with the happy smile as thousands of locals stopped by to buy a cookie and show their support.

A total of 4347 cookies were sold by Tim Horton’s, the same total of money was raised for the Aquatic Centre.

According to the Aquatic Centre, the proceeds will be used for purchasing water safety equipment and life jackets.

The Kindersley Aquatic Centre opened this past March and has supplied the community with a fun recreational space for all ages.
