Sonshine Kennels: It's A Dog's Life

I know it has often been said, it’s a “dog’s life”-meaning a pretty sweet deal for living. BUT have you ever considered it from a dog’s perspective?  When a wee pup is born, it is totally dependent upon its mother and then when weaned must learn to depend on its owner.  That takes a lot of trust.   As an owner, we must always ensure that bridge of trust is not broken in our pet’s life.

A pet is a great privilege and we need to count the cost of that relationship.

==Are we prepared to provide quality food and shelter, spend time interacting with and training our pet, always correcting with consistency and firmness?

==What about the cost of owning a pet-there’s always food, blankets and annual trips to the vet, etc.?

Any decision to be a pet owner is not to be entered into without lots of thought and preparation.  If you choose to consider the needs of your pet and are willing to go the extra mile, you will gain one of the greatest joys in your life-having a pet that will provide great companionship and pleasure for years.
