A 25-year-old man has been sent to hospital following a single-vehicle collision that left Silverspring School significantly damaged early Sunday morning.

Just before 3 a.m., police say the vehicle was travelling eastbound on Garvie Road when it went up on an embankment and collided with the school.

The school’s wall was shattered by the impact, causing significant damage and the vehicle ended up on its roof, according to police.

The Saskatoon Fire Department says the man driving was trapped inside the vehicle. Fire crews stabilized the vehicle and got the man out.
