Despite the countless hours I’ve spent planning my meals for my 2 week hike on the Pacific Crest Trail this Summer, I come in below the lowest recommended calorie intake, but my Winter belly will step in and provide some cushioning (pun intended) before my body starts to eat away at my hard earned muscles if it turns out this isn’t enough calories to sustain my needs for 2 weeks.
