Baseball team changing nickname
A baseball club in Swift Current, Sask., is changing its name.
The team announced Friday that the nickname Indians will no longer be used.
“The organization has put considerable thought into the decision and we believe it’s the right thing to do at this time,” Harv Martinez, a long time member of the club, said in a statement posted on the club’s homepage. “We are excited for the possibilities which lie ahead.”
