The Calgary Stampede is approaching its all-time attendance record, which was set over a decade ago. When Sunday’s numbers are reported we will see if they have broken this record! They will need to have welcomed 78,091 visitors to enter the park to break the all-time record.
In a press conference on Sunday, officials from the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth announced that after nine days, the Stampede has welcomed 1,331,280 guests to its grounds.
The highest attendance ever recorded was in 2012, with 1,409,371 visitors during its centennial celebration.
The 2024 Stampede set new attendance records on Tim Horton’s Family Day, July 7, with 201,260 guests, and on TC Energy Day, when 141,053 visitors attended.
Additionally, more than 350,000 people lined the streets of Calgary for the annual Calgary Stampede parade.
