Texas town allows cat to stay in library after international outcry

Browser the cat will continue to serve as the official resident mascot at a small-town Texas library, ending a controversial eviction saga that sparked outrage from feline fans around the world.

Browser was “hired” six years ago to help the library end its rodent problem, and quickly became a community fixture.

The former shelter pet is even said to possess an honorary GED diploma after attending years of classes.
