You Can Be Fined For Using Jake Breaks Within Town Limits
The Town of Kindersley has installed new signage stating that compression release engine breaks (Jake Breaks) are prohibited within Town limits.
According to the Traffic Bylaws (46) you can be fined for using jake breaks within Town limits.
Under the Town of Kindersley Traffic Bylaw section 46: No person shall operate, apply, or use compression release engine brakes, except in the case of an emergency, when the operation of such brakes is necessary to avoid the possibility of a collision or dangerous situation.
