Town Road Construction Over the Next Few Weeks

Road Construction To Begin Late July/Early August

Road construction projects will be in full motion throughout the Town of Kindersley later this month. Mobile Paving Ltd. was awarded the tender for the projects at the July 9th Council Meeting.

The approved projects for road construction including asphalt are the following:

1. 9^th Avenue West Extension
2. Railway Avenue East Extension
3. Colton Drive
4. Norman Ritchie Centre Parking Lot

Road Asphalt Resurfacing:

1. 11^th Avenue West (Main Street to 8^th Street West)
2. Cemetery Main Roadway

Paving Projects from 2018 that will be completed in 2019:

1. Aquatic Centre Parking Lot
2. New Firehall Parking Lot

Hot asphalt patching includes but is not limited to:

Various Utility (Water/Sewer) Excavation Patches – some include:

• New Firehall – 2 large patches from water/sewer connects that occurred late 2018 and early 2019
• 5^th Avenue East by new Aquatic Center – water connection – occurred late 2018
• Thomson Drive, by Coleman Park – water connection for irrigation project – occurred spring 2019
• 900 Block Main Street – Water Main Break Repair

Patch jobs due to asphalt failure:

• 11^th Avenue East – by Kindersley Inn
• 11^th Avenue East – Walmart Intersection
• Ditson Drive / West Road Intersection
• Philips Court – Hydrant replacement area and damage from water tower removal
• 300 Block of 7^th Avenue West – Water Main Break
• 6^th Street Crescent – Water Main Break
