Tractor-trailer catches fire on Trans-Canada Highway

Highway reduced to one lane westbound outside Fredericton after tractor-trailer collision

Traffic was backed up along the Trans-Canada Highway west of Fredericton Thursday afternoon after a tractor trailer collided with another vehicle and caught fire.

Emergency crews were on the scene of where the trailer went off Highway 2, near Exit 258, near Long’s Creek.

Westbound traffic was reduced to one lane, and rerouted to the Mazerolle Settlement exit to help deal with delays.
