Traffic Blitz Coming to Kindersley & Area

Traffic Blitz from March 25th – 28th, 2019

Kindersley RCMP announced today that the Central Traffic Services Section will be in Kindersley and area from March 25 to March 28th for a traffic blitz.

The Central Traffic Services Section consists of officers from the RCMP and Saskatoon Police Service. Last month, the service section was in the area and the majority of the tickets issued were for unlawful sunscreen on front and side windows. This ticket comes with a fine of $115. The Kindersley RCMP warns that the service section will be focusing on this offence again in the upcoming blitz.

Not only could offenders receive a ticket, they could also be issued an inspection order; giving you a certain amount of time to remove the tint and have the vehicle inspected by your local RCMP Detachment.

Some of the offences they will be looking for are:

  • No valid registration on vehicle (fine of $580)
  • Seatbelt not being worn, or improperly worn (fine of $175)
  • Failure to obey stop sign (fine of $230)
  • Covered tail lights (fine of $115)
  • Windshield obstructed (fine of $125)
  • Spot lights or light bar mounted higher than the headlamps ( fine of $115)

Other offences include speeding, use of cell phone while driving and others may result in you receiving a ticket and fines.

The Kindersley RCMP would like to remind motorists with tinted windows that they have 12 days to remove the tint to avoid a ticket.
