University of Regina Rams head coach resigns

Coach Gibson has accepted a position with the Edmonton Eskimos

The head coach of the University of Regina Rams, Mike Gibson, has resigned.

The announcement came Sunday afternoon. Gibson has accepted a position as the offensive line coach and run game coordinator for the Edmonton Eskimos.

Gibson has been head coach of the Rams for one season. Prior to coaching the Rams, he held positions with the CFL in Winnipeg, Saskatchewan, Hamilton, Calgary and Ottawa.

A national search has begun for the teams next head coach.
