If you do travel with your pet, always have a plan to provide cool, shaded accommodations for them with plenty of water readily available. Dogs can get a sunburn and suffer from heat exhaustion too so as owners we need to be very aware of the heat. NEVER leave a dog unattended, especially in a vehicle.
