Six teens in custody
Six teens are in custody after a suppertime truck chase Sunday.
It began when officers spotted a Dodge Ram on College Drive that had been reported stolen. They turned on their lights and sirens, prompting one of the passengers to take off on foot.
Police cuffed that suspect at Third Avenue and 25th Street.
The driver took the truck over stop sticks on Warman Road, flattening at least one tire and leading to the suspects in the truck to begin throwing items out the windows.
The chase led officers east outside the city on Highway 5. It ended when the driver didn’t make it through a gravel T-intersection near the community of St. Denis, about 40 kilometres east of Saskatoon.
Three men and three women are in custody with ages ranging from 13 to 18-years-old.
