Young Golfer Does Kindersley Proud at Nationals

After winning the U13 division at the 91st Saskatchewan Junior Golf Championships in Swift Current a few weeks ago; Keaton Cote went on to compete in Nationals last week.

The Future Links Junior Skills Challenge National Event, held at the Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville, Ontario; was filled with carefully selected, top-performing, young golfers from all over Canada. Our own Kindersley golfer placed third out of five in his division, certainly putting Kindersley on the map that weekend.

Cote competed in four different skill sets over the weekend, with the most memorable being paired with PGA pro-player Dustin Johnson on the signature #7 hole. “Being paired with Johnson was a great day for Keaton,” said Cote’s mother, Michele Cote. “Keaton also made several friends during the event, so in all; it was an incredible experience for him.”

Cote plans to only get better and better in his skill and ability as a golfer and to continue to make his family and community proud of his accomplishments. Congratulations Keaton!
