While on a walk with our dogs, Jess and Maggie, recently, I marvelled at the freedom of a dog’s spirit. The evening was perfect, with a gentle breeze, to keep away the mosquitoes, soft rays of the setting sun reflecting a gorgeous harvest evening. The dogs ran hither and yon-sniffing every possible scent and rolling in it, tromping through the muck and water of the small slough and then rubbing it off in the stubble of the lentils. Dirty and yet, happy as a lark-running free without a care in the world. Nothing was holding them back from relishing every moment of their walk in the field. Just a thought-perhaps we should take a hint from them and learn to enjoy our walk through life, trusting that we will always have Someone looking after us and have no need to be all worried. Pretty great way to live. Enjoy your walk and so long for now from Jess and Maggie.
